So...how do you exactly Play anything past 1.23.1B?

With the new patches, there seems to have been some 'modification' to hosting certain games, based on the criteria
of a map being "non-hack-edited/cheat-installed" , or something along those lines,
where it thinks that the games have some sort of trigger that involves cheats in it,
although some games won't work because triggers were 'stereotyped' to be cheats supposedly.

So..is there anyway of playing the more recent versions? Say 6.3(fix) or 6.2?

Klimmens, I apologize for the so much delayed response but here is the problem:

The newer maps are in no way "newer" than the old ones, they have just been saved over in a new version of the editor which has been patched a few times. So they dont actually differ, but instead they just arent compatabile with the newer versions of the game. Older maps can be opened by the new editor and then a simple save will do the trick.

With the triggers in the older maps there werent any bugs, but they didnt get "transformed" into a new triggering system, which is integrated in the world editor, so the only solution is to open the map and then resave it. Some errors may occur while saving due to custom scripts but i have found out that even if you manage to open the map and delete the custom script you will be able to save again, strangely it doesnt affect the map (at least for me it didnt).

The only problem you have here is that older maps are protected and you cant resave them. There are forums that offer help on those matters but deprotecting a map everyone knows you didnt make is frowned upon - in other words everyone will hate you cuz you stole the map.
